Day 3-60 Miles Completed For a CURE!

Day 3 of our 2010 San Diego 3-Day for the Cure was nothing short of Awesome.
As usual, the team was a little sore, a lot tired, and very ready for action!
Looking Good Ladies!

As soon as the turned the first corner, walkers showed their spirit! Every walker seemed like it was the first day: fresh-faced and excited.

We Got Spirit, Yes We Do!
The PD showed up just in time to challenge our new friends to a push-up contest...guess who won? Let's just say, GIRLS RULE!

GIRLS WIN! (with a little help from her friends)
As you can (barely) see, PD was "floored" by the awesomeness that is girl power.
All they could do was bow to the Woman.
Gotta Love the PD!
Even Rocky (actually, that's our Bumble Bri) showed up for the last leg of the walk.

Good Morning Rocky! (Brianna)
Around Mission Bay, we joined some really great supporters to cheer some super Walkers.

Woohoo!

Oh, Yeah. And There's Always a Dance Stop!

ALOHA, WALKERS!

Met our Twitter friend, @walkers4life Robin Shannon at a Dance Stop along the way. Yay!

The walk continued as the rain began to come down again. Walkers donned their ponchos one more time and pushed through to the next destination...Old Town!

Say It With Me Now, "HILL NO!"

After a small pitstop at our favorite in Old Town, Casa Guadalajara, walkers punished the monster hill that is Juan Street in Old Town. No problem.

Next stop, Hillcrest!

So, we made a pitstop to visit our good friends at Baja Betty's.

We just love Hillcrest. I must say, out of all the support in all the towns we cruise through, Hillcrest is our favorite! Balloons and decorations line the streets, people cheer from every storefront and restaurant and bar. THANK YOU, HILLCREST!

We Love Debbie! (@zenatona) She Rocks the K.I.S.S.es in Support of  the Walkers. She's at the 3-Day Every Year to Help Keep It Steppin' Sisters! XOXOXO Debbie! THANK YOU!

It was a beautiful Closing Ceremonies. Yes, we shed some tears, but mostly we celebrated.

We celebrated our victory-finishing our 60 mile challenge.
We celebrated braving the rain.
We celebrated our Survivor and Teammate, Sarah, who also completed 60 miles with us  again this year!

We celebrated our loved ones-those who have won their battle against Breast Cancer and remembered those whose journey has ended.
We celebrated with our friends, old and new, who walked in San Diego this year and helped raise over 10 MILLION DOLLARS for Susan G. Komen for a CURE.

God Bless You Walkers and God Bless You Team Hula Hooters!

We had a lot of support from great people this year. Some were walkers in the past, and some were celebrating their walker, survivor, or loved one.

The 3-Day Experiences-Day 1

Our walkers finished 23 miles today...yes, I said 23. Wow!
And they did it in style!

We took a poll at dinner of barbequed Salmon, Chicken, and wild rice. Not one Hula Hooter Walker has a blister.
Ain't that great?! Not to jinx it or anything, I just think it's great!
And I must say, the team looked GOOOOOD today. Nobody fell behind, no injuries, just a great first day!

We are really looking forward  to what tomorrow brings.

This roadies personal hilight of the day was when the entire team brought me Graham Cracker Cookies filled with Peanut Butter and Jelly...mmmmmmm.

If you stopped by to SHAKE IT with our team, please check our Facebook Fan Page and our Twitter feed as well, as we posted different pix there!
